Fife Falcons felled as Coventry Blaze win IHUK National U20 Final

Coventry Blaze won the 2018 Ice Hockey UK National U20 Final with a 4-0 shut-out of Fife Falcons at iceSheffield on Saturday.

The two sides had also contested last year’s final with Fife winning 2-0.

Goals by Jekabs Bisnieks and Daniel Mulcahy gave Coventry a two goal lead in the first period and Fife were unable to peg back their opponents from that position.

Austin Mitchell-King netted a third in the middle session, before Kyle grabbed the final goal of the game in the third period to wrap up a convincing victory for the English champions.

Saturday’s U20 final was part of the EIHA’s Junior Finals weekend which features U11 to U18 sides from across the country playing for the respective national championship in each age group.
