GB U20 to face Korea in World Championship warm-up game

Great Britain U20 will take on Korea in a warm-up game ahead of the upcoming World Championship tournament in Dumfries.

The game will take place at the Dumfries Ice Bowl on Thursday, 7th December (8.00pm face-off).

The two sides are involved in the World Championship (Division 2A) competition taking place the following week, which runs from Sunday 10th to Saturday 16th December.

Estonia, Japan, Netherlands and Romania make up the rest of the six-team group.

Head coach Slava Koulikov said: “The game against Korea will form a vital part of our pre-tournament preparations.

“We will be meeting in Dumfries that week and it is important for us to see the players in a game situation.

“Korea are coming early for the tournament, so it made sense for the two teams to meet in a warm-up game.”

Entrance to the game is free.
