Scotland announces squads for Conference Weekend 2018 at Sheffield

Scotland has named its squads for the Conference Weekend event being held at iceSheffield during May.

The four-day event takes place from Friday 25th to Monday 28th May.

The weekend begins with Scotland versus England U19 international on the first day, with the Conference games starting early on Saturday.

There are five Conferences – Scotland, Northern, Midlands, South East and South West – with teams competing at U11, U13, U15 and U17 level.

Each age group is a five-team round robin, with the top two in each group progressing to finals on the Monday.

Scottish Ice Hockey chairman, David Hand, said: “Conference Weekend is an excellent tournament and it’s a time of the year we all look forward to.

“I’m sure all the players who have been selected will be delighted to take part in the event. Congratulations to everyone has been selected for their respective squads.

“The weekend is always a great showcase for junior ice hockey and Scotland is proud to be involved.

“I’d like to thank the Conference committee and the coaches for their hard work in preparing our players for the event.”
