Scotland U15 team manager Craig Forbes has called on the squad to focus on their teamwork at the Conference Weekend in Sheffield.
This weekend’s event sees Scotland face four English conference sides – Northern, Midlands, South East and South West – at U11, U13, U15 and U17 level.
Each age group is a five-team round robin, with the top two in each group progressing to finals on the Monday.
Forbes believes that the U15 side is capable of enjoying a successful weekend, if everyone pulls in the same direction.
“As the Conference Weekend draws nearer we are hopeful we can do well,” he said. “All the preparation has been done through our National Development Days and hopefully the boys can execute all they have learnt on the ice.
“The older the age groups are the more difficult it becomes – we need everyone to play as a team. The same tournament can be held the following week and there would be different results, so it’s how we adapt ourselves over the weekend.
“We will take one game at a time and with a little bit luck we can do well giving all the parents and supporters something to cheer about.”
The four-day event takes place from Friday 25th to Monday 28th May.
The weekend begins with a Scotland versus England U19 international on the first day, with the Conference games starting early on Saturday.
