Scotland U19 will face Kirkcaldy Kestrels on Friday as they look to finalise their squad for the end of season showdown with England.
Held as a curtain raiser to the Conference Weekend at iceSheffield, the junior international is one of the longest running fixtures in the United Kingdom and is always a keenly contested game.
Kirkcaldy are currently second in the SNL and will provide a stern test for Scotland’s U19 side.
Head coach Steven Lynch said: “This game gives Scott Plews, Richard Hartmann (coaches) and I an ideal opportunity to look at certain players we are considering for selection before we choose the National U19 team to play England at the annual Conference Weekend.
“For this game against Kestrels, we have deliberately selected some of our more talented younger players to assess them to see how they handle the step up against one of the SNL’s top sides.
“We are looking forward to the game and thank Kirkcaldy Kestrels’ staff who are always willing to assist our U19 National Program with trial and warm-up games and their players who always treat the games with the importance they merit.”
