Scotland youngsters given the chance to impress Great Britain coaches

Scotland’s junior stars will have an ideal opportunity to stake their claim for a Great Britain call-up at the upcoming Scottish Cup Finals event.

Coaches from across the various GB junior age groups including Slava Koulikov, Tony Hand and Steven Lynch will be at Fife Ice Arena on Saturday, 21st April, to monitor the progress of Scotland’s best youngsters.

The event features four junior finals at U12, U14, U16 and U20 level, with the SNL final rounding off what promises to be a thrilling day of action.

SIHA Chairman David Hand said: “The Scottish Cup Finals event brings together our best junior and senior knockout sides all under one roof.

“The players have an added incentive to perform to the best of their abilities with numerous Great Britain coaches in attendance throughout the day.

“We’ve been proud to see the likes of Caly Robertson, Stuart Kerr, Reece Cochrane and others progress through their respective junior systems and go on to be selected by GB.

“Hopefully there will be many more players follow in their footsteps and the Cup Finals event is the perfect opportunity for them to showcase their talents.”
