The new Scottish National League season gets underway this weekend, with three games and a five-team tournament scheduled over the two days.
The action starts on Saturday with two fixtures in the newly-formed Stuart Robertson Cup. Kilmarnock Thunder will host Solway Stingrays, while Aberdeen Lynx meet Dundee Tigers.
The competition features two groups containing four and five teams split into east and west sections.
Each side will play each other once home and away, with the top team in each group qualifying for the final. This will be played over two legs.
Kilamrnock, Paisley Pirates, North Ayrshire Wild and Solway make up the western group, with Aberdeen, Dundee Comets, Dundee Tigers, Kirkcaldy Kestrels and Murrayfield Racers taking part in the eastern section.
Of the teams featuring in the cup this weekend only Aberdeen have played during pre-season, losing heavily home and away against NIHL North side Solway Sharks.
Murrayfield kick-off the league season on Sunday with a home fixture against North Ayrshire Wild.
The Racers warmed up for the game with a double-header against last season’s champions Dundee Comets. They won 6-3 on the road, but were beaten by the same scoreline back on home ice.
Wild played three pre-season games, losing against NIHL North outfit Bradford Bulldogs in between splitting a home and away series with Kirkcaldy.
This weekend will also see three SNL clubs head to Dumfries Ice Bowl to face two of their NIHL North counterparts in a warm-up tournament for the new season.
Dundee Comets, Kirkcaldy, Paisley, Solway Sharks and Sheffield Senators will take part in the event which starts at 10.00am on Saturday.
