Great Britain U20 warmed-up for the upcoming World Championship (Division 2A) tournament with a 5-2 victory over Korea in an international challenge game at Dumfries Ice Bowl.
Goals by Sam Duggan and Cole Shudra either side of the first break gave GB a 2-0 lead, before Scottish-born Jordan Buesa (above) added a third after 23 minutes.
Korea pulled one back through Juhyung Lee, but Jordan Kelsall restored the three-goal advantage midway through the second period.
Mac Howlett made it 5-1 in the 38th minute, and although TK Lee pulled one back for Korea late in the game GB comfortably held on for the win.
Head coach Slava Koulikov said: “I think we did alright. There were some good points and some points we can correct.
“Overall, it has been good. It is only one game but it was a game against a good opponent. It is certainly something we can review and we can add to it.
“It has been an interesting few days and a lot of work has taken place on and off the ice.”
