SNL round-up: Prolific forward agrees another year with Kirkcaldy, Aberdeen confirm full roster

Kirkcaldy Kestrels have confirmed another quartet of returnees to their roster for the upcoming SNL season.

Forwards Conor Duncan and Allan Anderson have agreed another year with the club, while defencemen Robbie Hill and Iain Quinn also return.

Duncan enjoyed a prolific campaign for the Kestrels last term, grabbing 37 goals with 27 assists to finish second in the SNL points scoring table.

Anderson was also a regular contributor to the club’s points tally last season, scoring 10 goals with 20 assists in just 16 appearances.

Hill returns for his third season with the club after impressing on the blueline last year, while Quinn is back for an eighth successive year in Kestrels’ colours.

Aberdeen Lynx have announced their full roster for next season and it includes a couple of exciting new additions.

Scotland Under-19 international Joe Durkacz joins his brother Jack in Aberdeen following the departure of his former team, Moray Typhoons, from the SNL.

Forward Jack Flynn joins returnee Mikulas Novotny as the club’s second import following a successful season with Bradford Bulls in Canada’s Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League.

Defenceman Scott Chalmers and netminder Jamie Lawrie also return to the club after a year away from the game.

Martin Cingel has been confirmed as one of the assistant coaches at Murrayfield Racers.

Cingel was previously head coach with Edinburgh Capitals SNL and will bring plenty of know-how to the Racers’ coaching staff.

Solway Stingrays have appointed Ross Murray as their new head coach. He will be assisted by fellow Solway Sharks player Joey Coulter.

Steven Turner, Chris Jackson, Arran Shankland and Ian Gordon are the first players confirmed to the Stingrays’ roster.

North Ayrshire Wild have begun building for the new season by confirming the re-signings of Alan Maitland, Adam Kerr and Scott Beveridge.
