Great Britain Women U18 have undergone their first training session in Scotland ahead of their World Championship tournament which starts on Sunday.
Dumfries Ice Bowl is the venue for the Division 1B competition as GB host China, France, Poland, Netherlands and Norway.
The GB squad, which contains Scottish-based trio Audrey Wood, Megan Gourlay and Sophie Campbell, arrived in Dumfries last night and began this morning with an off-ice session.
They then took to the ice at lunchtime as they prepared for Sunday’s opening game with Poland.
There has been plenty of media interest in the tournament and ITV Border were at the session to interview coaches and players.
Assistant coach, Jayne McClelland, said: “It was good to get everyone out on the ice to get ready for Poland.
“We have a great group of girls and the coaching staff know that they are ready for five tough games in the next week.
“Some of these girls have played at this level before while others haven’t, but they are all focused on the job in hand.
“Everyone is looking forward to playing on home ice and I am sure it will be a great week.”
