SIH webinar: Women in Hockey

The SIH National Coaching Team are inviting all women and girls that play ice hockey in the United Kingdom to join them on a Zoom webinar on Wednesday, 17th February (7.30 pm).

Joining the team on the ‘Women in Hockey’ session will be two ladies whose dedication and talent has taken them to the top of the women’s game and helped pave the way for many others to get involved in our great sport.

Angela Taylor began her career in the Paisley junior system and played for the Scottish Conference team during that time.

The forward went on to play for the University of New Hampshire NCAA women’s team before her career took her to Switzerland to play professionally with ZSC Lions Frauen.

She has also played for Great Britain from 2002 to 2018, captaining her country many times.

Beth Scoon progressed through the Kirkcaldy Ice Hockey Club junior program and represented Scotland at Conference level, before going on to play for Kingston Diamonds, Edinburgh Eagles university team and Caledonia Steel Queens.

She also iced for Great Britain at U18 and senior level from 2011 onwards and has worn a leader’s letter on her national team jersey on numerous occasions.

The pair will offer valuable insights into the careers, sharing their stories, experiences, challenges and their future hopes for women’s hockey in the UK.
