Dundee Comets produced a superb third period fightback against Paisley Pirates to book their place in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.
The Comets took a 4-3 lead into the game after last week’s first leg, but found themselves 12-9 behind on aggregate after 40 minutes of the reverse fixture.
However, three goals in the final session, two of them coming while short-handed, sent the tie to a penalty shoot-out. The Comets held their nerve to secure the win and progress to the last four.
Kirkcaldy Kestrels drew level on points with the Comets at the top of the SNL table courtesy of a hard fought 6-4 victory at Dundee Tigers – Scott Jamieson (2), Marty Simpson, Conor Duncan, Robin Floyd and Caly Robertson got the goals.
Craig Findlay, Fraser MacEachran and Ross McIntosh were on target for Aberdeen Lynx as they ran out 3-1 winners at North Ayrshire Wild.
Michael Ireland (3) and Kyle Murray bagged the goals as Murrayfield Racers ended their NIHL North Cup campaign with a stunning 4-1 home victory over reigning Moralee D1 champions Sheffield Steeldogs.
