SNL round-up: Dundee Comets secure the treble with hard fought cup victory

Dundee Comets secured the SNL treble with a hard-fought 4-2 victory over Paisley Pirates in the Scottish Cup Final at Fife Ice Arena on Saturday.

The Comets led 3-0 at the end of the second period and although the Pirates rallied in the final session they were unable to claw back the deficit.

The result ensured Dundee completed a clean sweep of trophies following their successes in the league and the play-offs.


Fife Falcons added the U20 Cup to their league title victory with a comprehensive 13-2 win over Solway Sharks.

The Falcons will bid to complete a treble of their own as they look to defend their British Championship title against Coventry Blaze at iceSheffield on Saturday, 5th May.


Murrayfield JIHC claimed the U16 Cup with a dramatic shoot-out victory over Fife Flames.

Ethan Reid’s stunning equaliser in the third period sent the game to penalty shots, and the Murrayfield youngster kept his cool to bag the deciding goal and clinch the trophy.

Dundee Stars maintained their unbeaten record for the season by defeating Kirkcaldy Chiefs 6-0 in the U14 final.

Kirkcaldy Redskins completed the double with a 5-2 victory over Kilmarnock Tornadoes in the U12 final.
