SNL round-up: Dundee Tigers stun Aberdeen, Kirkcaldy go level at the top

Dundee Tigers stunned league leaders Aberdeen Lynx on Saturday as they recorded their first victory of the SNL season.

Scott Marr (2), Callum Turnbull (2) and Grant Reekie got the goals in a 5-3 win on home ice. The Tigers couldn’t follow up the following day at Paisley Pirates as the reigning champions eased to a 6-1 victory.

Kirkcaldy Kestrels emerged victorious from the battle of the unbeaten teams with a narrow 5-4 home win against Dundee Comets. Conor Duncan (3) and Chad Smith (2) were on target for the Kestrels. The result took Kirkcaldy up to second in the table, level on points with Aberdeen with a game in hand.

Edinburgh Capitals SNL won 6-2 at Kilmarnock Storm – Gary Hughes, Andrew Barr, Craig Main, Aaron Robertson, Caly Robertson and Ross Jordan were their scorers.

North Ayrshire Wild picked up their first points of the season with a 5-0 home victory over Solway Stingrays. TJ Wright, Ross Coubrough, Adam Kerr, Kenny Fleetham and Matthew Miller were Wild’s scorers.
