Kirkcaldy Kestrels kicked-off their Scottish National League (SNL) campaign with a 5-5 draw at Dundee Comets on Sunday.
Scott Jamieson (2), Sean Cochrane, Garry Simpson, and Conor Duncan got the goals for the Kestrels.
The Comets were also in action the previous day, winning 13-0 at home to Dundee Tigers in the Stuart Robertson Cup to go top of the eastern group.
Paisley Pirates’ interest in the competition is over despite beating Solway Stingrays 9-2 in their final game in the western section.
The result ensured North Ayrshire Wild clinched top spot on goal difference from Paisley. Wild will face the winners of the other group in a two-legged final later in the season.
Aberdeen Lynx won 7-6 in the first leg of their Scottish Cup quarter-final tie at Kilmarnock Thunder – Andrew Murphy, Fraser MacEachran, Calum Smith, Craig Findlay, Joe Durkacz, Mikvlas Novotny and Ross McIntosh were on target for the visitors.
Murrayfield Racers booked their place in the last four of the competition after winning 6-1 at North Ayrshire to complete a 10-3 aggregate success.
The Racers found things tougher in the NIHL North Cup, falling 9-1 at home to Telford Tigers.
