SNL round-up: Moray on the rise; Solway looking good for round two

Moray Typhoons moved into the top half of the SNL table after recording their third victory in a row over the weekend.

Graham Ramshaw (3) topped the scoring for Moray as they secured a 7-4 success at home to Kilmarnock Storm.

Aberdeen Lynx are the new league leaders courtesy of a hard-fought 4-2 victory at North Ayrshire Wild – Mark Laing (2), Mikulas Novotny and Calum MacEachran got the goals.

Solway Stingrays produced a strong performance in the first round of the Scottish Cup and will take a big lead into next week’s second leg against Kilmarnock Thunder.

Conor Smith (2), Gordon Horne (2), Juraj Senko (2), Ross McMeeken (2), Stevie Adams (2), Luke Houston and Simon Robertson were Solway’s goalscorers.

Dundee Comets also look on course to progress to the second round after an 8-1 home win against Dundee Tigers.

Kirkcaldy Kestrels took a two-goal lead from the first leg of their clash with Edinburgh Capitals SNL. Robbie Hill (2), Conor Duncan, Allan Anderson and Robin Floyd were on target for Kirkcaldy in their 5-3 road victory.
