SNL round-up: Racers’ destiny in their own hands, but rivals are still fighting

Just one point separates the top four sides in the Scottish National League with four weeks of the regular season remaining.

Kirkcaldy Kestrels and Murrayfield Racers have 20 points after the latest round of games, with Dundee Comets and Paisley Pirates just one point adrift.

However, with games in hand on all their rivals, the Racers currently have their destiny in their own hands.

Joel Gautcshi was the star of the show for Murrayfield on Saturday, bagging five goals in an impressive 8-4 road victory over the Comets.

The Racers needed a late fightback to maintain their unbeaten record the following day, recovering from 3-1 down midway through the final period to seal a 3-3 draw at home to Kirkcaldy – Scott Geddes bagged the equaliser.

Paisley kept their title hopes alive with a 5-2 success at Aberdeen Lynx – Adam Walker (4) topped their scoring.

North Ayrshire Wild recorded their second victory in three games with a comfortable 12-3 success at home to Kilmarnock Thunder – Gary Parker (3), Adam Kerr (2) and Marc Fowley (2) were amongst their scorers.
