UK Anti-Doping World Anti-Doping Code Implementation

I am writing to update you as to UK Anti-Doping’s activities to support UK National Governing Bodies (‘NGBs’) in implementing the 2015 World Anti-Doping Code (‘the 2015 Code’). This letter should be read in conjunction with my letter to you dated 18 December 2013.

The Code comes into force in January 2015 and UK Anti-Doping will be supporting all NGBs in their implementation of the 2015 Code. As mentioned in my letter dated 18 December 2013, we have now drafted a revised set of the UK Anti-Doping Rules to comply with the 2015 Code (which encompasses the various International Standards).

These new UK Anti-Doping Rules (which remain subject to approval by the World Anti-Doping Agency) are available on our website for your perusal. UK Anti-Doping Rules 2015

(If your NGB drafts its own bespoke anti-doping rules, both my colleagues and I will have already been in touch with you regarding your need to adopt a revised set of Code-compliant anti-doping rules.)

I am sure that you will be interested to see what the principal changes are from the current Code to the 2015 Code.

We have prepared a short overview document that describes these changes, which is also available on our website. We will write to you in the autumn to provide advice on adoption of the Rules. Changes in the World Anti-Doping Code for 2015

If you or your teams require any assistance or further information then do not hesitate to contact me on tony.josiah@ukad.org.uk at any time. I would of course welcome any comments that you may have regarding the new UK Anti-Doping Rules.

I look forward to continuing to work with you through the remainder of 2014.

Yours sincerely

Tony Josiah
