SNL round-up: Signings galore for Solway, prolific forward back for Murrayfield

It’s been a hectic week for Solway Sharks as they continue to assemble their roster for the upcoming Scottish National League (SNL) season.

Head coach Martin Grubb has confirmed three returnees to his squad, with Kyle Horne, Iain Bowie and Ben Coughtrie all agreeing another year with the Dumfries-based outfit.

Forward Marcus Murdoch has also signed for Solway after impressing with Kilmarnock Thunder over the past couple of seasons.

However, Stevie Moore has left the club to join Leeds Chiefs in the newly-formed NIHL National Division in England.

Murrayfield Racers have announced that prolific forward Joel Gautschi has re-signed for a further year in Edinburgh.

Gautschi scored 22 goals with 25 assists in 15 league appearances last season as the Racers claimed the SNL title.

Kieran Black has also been added to the club’s roster after a couple years away from the game, while fellow forward Archie Holmes steps up to the Racers after shining in Murrayfield’s junior system.

Ben Edmonds and David Pokorny are back for another season with Dundee Comets, Tony Malone has agreed a second year with Dundee Tigers and Craig Chalmers has signed for a sixth campaign with Aberdeen Lynx.
