The Recreational Section of Scottish Ice Hockey covers the length and breadth of the country offering opportunities for all abilities to train and play the fastest team sport in the world.
Affectionately known as the “Beer League” we have approximately 40 Clubs with players of varying abilities from ex-pro to complete beginners who compete in friendlies or in-house mini competitions and come together for our 4 SIH Tournaments. These tournaments are evenly matched with promotion and relegation at the end of each season.
Some Clubs offer “Hockey For All ” sessions where beginners can begin their dream of playing this amazing sport. There is great camaraderie between all the teams but also a high competitive level which helps to grow the sport.
