Dundee Tigers produced an impressive performance in their opening pre-season fixture on Sunday, racing to a 5-2 home victory over Paisley Pirates.
Andrew Henderson, Pavel Pliskov, Craig Findlay, Ross Johnston and Robbie Barnett got the goals for the Tigers.
North Ayrshire Wild kicked off their pre-season schedule with a weekend double-header against Kirkcaldy Kestrels.
Wild triumphed 6-5 at Fife Ice Arena on Saturday and followed up with a 7-5 success on home ice the following day.
It was also a busy weekend for signing news as clubs across the Scottish National League continued to assemble their rosters for the upcoming campaign.
Solway Sharks announced their second import, with Finnish forward Jaakko Heiskanen agreeing a move to the Dumfries outfit.
The 28-year-old played in France2 for Marseille last season, bagging 24 points in 26 league appearances for the club.
He spent the rest of his career in his homeland, regularly putting up good numbers in the Suomi-Sarja.
Kirkcaldy have confirmed four more additions, with Steven MacDonald, Conner Wood, Adam Henderson and Keegan Cairns all signing for the 2019/20 season.
McDonald returns to the Kestrels after a few years away from the game, while Wood spent last year with Dundee Tigers.
Henderson and Cairns will also ice in the SNL next term, in addition to playing for Fife Falcons in the Scottish U20 League.
North Ayrshire announced seven signings over the weekend, with Scott Blackwell, Haydn Woods, Luke Kearsley, Lewis Davidson, Liam Anderson, Martin Cardno and Sean Woods added to their roster.
Daniel Abercrombie, Ben Walker, Dean Hamilton, Graeme Meechan and Callum Donaghy have all agreed another year with Paisley.
The Pirates have also announced that Zack Kenneth has joined the club from North Ayrshire.
Veteran forward Paul Guilcher has signed for a further season with Dundee Tigers.
