The Scotland Girls development group recently enjoyed a skating skills session with a coach from the National Hockey League.

Brian Cooke joined the Anaheim Junior Ducks in 2017 having spent the previous 13 years working for the Los Angeles Kings.

The California-based coach, who said it was a privilege to work with such a committed group of players, regularly works with some of the best up-and-coming players in North America.

The 19 girls had an amazing time at the Time Capsule in Coatbridge and picked up plenty of useful tips during the session.
