SNL round-up: Sharks retain prolific forward, Wild confirm more returnees

It has been a busy week in Dumfries as Solway Sharks gear up for the upcoming Scottish National League (SNL) season.

Peter Gapa’s return is the standout news, with the Slovakian forward agreeing a second season with the club after bagging 88 points in 52 games last time around.

Gapa previously iced extensively in his homeland, before going on to enjoy prolific spells in Sweden and Finland.

The Sharks have also added Luke Houston, Kieran Hair, Stevie Adams, Gordon Horne and Scott Crane to their roster.

North Ayrshire Wild have also had a hectic week, with Scott Beveridge, Kris Underwood, Jamie Miller, Ryan Campbell, Scott Wright and Lewis Smith all back for another year.

Dundee Tigers have confirmed that Mark McLeod and Graeme Carstairs have agreed a further season, while Richy Fox has returned after missing last year through injury.

Neil Pritchard has left the Tigers to sign for Aberdeen Lynx. Ciaran Hoggan has also joined Lynx after spending last season with Dundee Comets.

Lynx have also confirmed that Fraser MacEachran, Joe Durkacz and Jack Durkacz have agreed another year.

Paisley Pirates have announced that long-serving Martyn Guy has re-signed for the 2019/20 season.
