North Ayrshire junior teams make impressive start to the season

North Ayrshire Ice Hockey Club enjoyed a positive start to the new campaign, with two of their junior sides recording victories over the weekend.

Jamie Miller (4) and Ryan Campbell (4) led the scoring as North Ayrshire Devils ran out comfortable 14-5 winners at home to Kilmarnock in the Scottish U20 League.

Haydn Woods enjoyed a productive game as he weighed in with six assists, while Kyle Forsyth picked up the man of the match award.

North Ayrshire Penguins started their campaign at U12 level with an impressive 19-8 victory over Kilmarnock.

Rocco Murray weighed in with some excellent goals for the Penguins and deservedly picked up the MVP award.

The club’s U16, U14 and U12 sides are all in action next Saturday as they travel to Northern Ireland to face their counterparts from the Junior Belfast Giants.
