Dundee Tigers have confirmed the signing of forward Sean Dyer for the 2019/20 Scottish National League season.
The former Dundee junior player joins the Tigers having spent the past four seasons with Aberdeen Lynx and brings an added scoring threat to the team’s attack.
Tigers’ player/coach, Grant Reekie, said: “Sean is a great pick-up for us. He’s quick, skilful and works hard every shift.
“He’s one of those guys that’s hard to play against as he’s always on the move and with his low centre of gravity he’s tough to get the puck from.
“Sean gives us more firepower and will be a key part of our offense this year.”
Dyer added: “I really enjoyed my time with the Lynx, but I felt it was time for a new challenge and was keen to move closer to home.
“I spoke to Coach Reekie and really liked what the Tigers are trying to do this year and felt like the team was a good fit for me.
“I already know a lot of the guys in the team from my junior days and I’m looking forward to helping them succeed this year.
Murrayfield Racers have boosted their forward ranks for the upcoming season with the addition of Lewis Gold to their roster.
Gold had a spell in North America during the early part of his career before returning to the United Kingdom for the 2011/12 season.
He helped Solway Sharks win the English National League Division 2 title, before taking a couple of years away from the sport.
He returned to action in 2014 with Dundee Comets and played an important part in the team’s run of success in 2016/17 and 2017/18.
