Join our dynamic team as a Merchandising Committee Member for Scottish Ice Hockey! As a crucial part of our voluntary organisation, you will play a key role in enhancing the fan experience and supporting the growth of ice hockey in Scotland through strategic merchandising initiatives. 

Responsibilities: 

• Product Selection and Design: Collaborate with the committee to curate a diverse and appealing range of merchandise, including jerseys, apparel, accessories, and promotional items. 
• Vendor Management: Identify and establish relationships with reliable vendors, negotiate pricing, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality merchandise. 
• Inventory Management: Oversee the organisation, storage, and tracking of merchandise inventory. Implement efficient systems to prevent overstock or shortages. 
• Marketing and Promotion: Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective strategies for promoting merchandise, both online and at live events. Utilise social media, email campaigns, and other channels to maximise visibility. 
• Event Presence: Coordinate merchandise booths at games, tournaments, and other events. Ensure a seamless shopping experience for fans, offering assistance and promoting merchandise effectively. 
• Financial Oversight: Monitor budgetary constraints, pricing structures, and sales performance to maximise revenue while maintaining affordability for fans. 
• Customer Engagement: Foster a positive relationship with fans through excellent customer service. Gather feedback to continually improve the merchandise selection and overall shopping experience. 

Qualifications: 

• Passion for ice hockey and a strong understanding of the Scottish ice hockey community. 
• Organisational and project management skills to coordinate multiple tasks effectively. 
• Creativity and an eye for design trends to curate appealing merchandise collections. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with team members, vendors, and fans. 
• Previous experience in merchandising, retail, or event sales is a plus. 

Time Commitment: 

• This is a voluntary position with flexible hours, primarily requiring dedication during the ice hockey season and special events. Regular committee meetings and occasional weekend/evening availability may be necessary.
