Hockey fans flocked to the SNL games this weekend as the pressure is on with the end of the season fast approaching.
Murrayfield saw 1600 home and away fans attend the clash between Edinburgh Capitals with Aberdeen Lynx.

With Aberdeen sitting in pole position and Edinburgh just 1 point behind the battle for top spot has been thrilling between these league leaders.
Having met twice already this season with one win each, anticipation was high.
The first period saw the Caps lead 2-0 with two goals by Kyle Curruth, with the first one just 3 minutes into the game.
Going into the 2nd period the Lynx upped the ante and Nils Tanner bagging their first goal narrowing the Capitals lead.
Finding their stride the Aberdeen side piled on the pressure and broke through Edinburgh’s defence with Sean Dyer levelling the scoring 2-2. But just 1 minutes later Chad Smith edged the Caps ahead with a Power Play goal.
Starting the 3rd period 3-2 down it was Mark Laing for the Lynx that levelled the score. With less than 8 minutes left on the clock Nils Tanner scored his second goal of the evening giving the Lynx the lead for the first time in the game.
Just 2 minutes later Lynx forward James Demeo extended the Aberdeen sides lead. The Capitals fought hard in front of a huge home crowd but just couldn’t find the back of the net.
This takes the Lynx 3 points ahead in the table but with some tough fixtures ahead it is still all to play for.
Lynx Coach Jordan Leyden said: “I was really impressed with the teams’ attitude after last weekend’s result and going down by 2, the way the whole team responded was incredible.
The travelling support was also unbelievable, to see so many of our own fans make the journey was definitely something that spurred us on.
There is still a lot of hockey to be played, however that result keeps us where we want to be and hopefully is another boost for the coming weeks.”

With the Paisley Pirates, Dundee Comets and Dundee Tigers all playing games this weekend the battle for 3rd place was on.
Paisley made the return journey to North Ayr after taking home a 3-1 win at home against them last weekend.
The score line has always been close between this two sides but once again Paisley clinched with the win 2-0.
A goal by Gary Simpson in the first period and Dean Hamilton in the second saw the Pirates add 2 points and 4th place in the league table.

Dundee Tigers were promoting mental health awareness in their league game against Dundee Comets at their Derby game on Saturday.
After their 2-4 loss last weekend against the Comets the fans turned out in force to support the teams and see the Tigers limited edition green print shirts.
The scoreline was disappointing for the Tigers with the Comets winning 5-0 but they did raise over £1000 for local mental health charity Andy’s Shed.
The league table now sees the Comets in 3rd place on 31 points, the Pirates on 30 points and the Tigers on 28 points.
