Junior Belfast Giants Triumph Over North Ayrshire Wild with a 14-0 Victory

On January 11th, the Under-12 Junior Belfast Giants delivered a spectacular performance, securing an emphatic 14-0 win against the North Ayrshire Wild at the SSE Arena, Belfast. It was a dominant display from start to finish, with outstanding teamwork and individual brilliance leading the home side to a memorable victory.

Blake Russell stole the show with two goals and earned the well-deserved title of Man of the Match for his energetic and tireless effort on the ice. Rhys Duffy and Matthew Cook each contributed two goals, while Max Mason recorded an impressive hat-trick with three goals. The standout scorer of the game, however, was Mark Makarovs, who netted four goals in a dazzling offensive display. Eli Dalton rounded off the scoring with a goal of his own, adding to the Giants’ impressive tally.

The team’s success was a collective effort, with multiple players making key contributions. Assists came from Arsenii Ivanov, Beau Armstrong, Eli Dalton, Joshua Carter, Matthew Cook, Max Mason, and Tyler Finlay, showcasing the Giants’ depth and unselfish play.

In goal, Vlad Corche made his debut appearance for the Under-12 side, sharing netminding duties with Charlie Wall and Bobby McAlister. The goaltending trio delivered a flawless performance, combining to keep the clean sheet and deny the North Ayrshire Wild any chance of getting on the scoreboard.
