Scottish Ice Hockey is seeking a National Sport Development Manager to join the Management Board to further develop the sport in Scotland to a higher level at national and international level.
Are you the kind of person who has:
- Spare time to fill?
- Looking for a major challenge in your life?
- Have a passion for sport in Scotland?
- Have vision and flair to spare?
Then YOU can apply for this position!
SIH UK’s vision is to build on many decades of playing ice hockey by expanding membership, improving skills through professional coaching and management, creating SIH as the national governing body of the sport and bringing Scotland to the fore on the world stage.
The role (which is a non-coaching position) is to develop the sport internally and externally through continuous improvement, coordinated training in skills, attitudes and personal ability creating a more exciting public sports spectacle – selling the sport to the wider population by ‘spreading the word’.
This will provide the means for the creation of future superstars in the sport and make Scotland the place other international teams will want to visit and play against.
The job is far from easy and is expected to take some time to develop further, but if you have the heart for it, the time to spare, are proud of our heritage and feel you are the one, then get in contact with chair@scottishicehockey.co.uk for more details and discussion around the application process.
