Kirkcaldy Kestrels picked up their first point in the Stuart Robertson Cup after producing a thrilling third period comeback against Dundee Comets on Saturday.
Goals by Lewis McIntosh and Aaron Robertson put the visitors 2-0 ahead by the 22-minute mark, but quickfire efforts by Ryan Todd and Sean Cochrane brought the Kestrels level.
The Comets re-established their two-goal advantage before the second break, with Adam McNicoll and John Dolan hitting the back of the net.
However, the Kestrels refused to lie down and were rewarded as Scott Jamieson and Chris Wands beat Dale Shearer in the Comets’ goal to make it 4-4.
North Ayrshire Wild bounced back from last week’s heavy defeat at Murrayfield Racers with a comfortable 14-2 victory at Kilmarnock Thunder.
Murrayfield kicked-off their defence of the Scottish National League (SNL) title with a 7-1 win at Dundee Tigers – Joel Gautschi (4) topped their scoring.
