Get Ready — The SNL is Growing!

The countdown is on — and the Scottish National League is gearing up for its biggest season yet!

Last year brought major changes with the formation of the Dundee Rockets, as the Tigers and Comets combined forces and made an immediate impact on the league. Now, we’re taking another huge step forward.

We’re thrilled to announce two new additions to the SNL for the 2025/26 season:

🏒 Solway Sharks – The Solway junior organisation is taking an exciting step forward by entering a senior team into the Scottish National League (SNL). While separate from the Solway team competing in the EIH National Division, this move strengthens the local development pathway and creates more opportunities for homegrown talent to continue their progression into senior hockey. It’s a positive development that supports sustainable growth at all levels of the game.

🛡️ Whitley Warriors – One of the most respected names in British hockey, Whitley will be joining the SNL for the first time. While they’ve competed in NIHL1 in recent years, their history of taking on Scottish sides in the Northern Cup and exhibition games — and a shared league with Scottish teams back in the 1960s and ’70s — makes this a welcome and exciting addition.

Their entry into the SNL comes with agreed conditions to support the continued integrity and growth of the league.

With nine teams on board, the SNL is expanding, evolving, and offering more opportunities than ever for players and fans across the country.

📅 More details, including fixtures and season format, will follow soon — but one thing is clear: Scottish hockey is on the rise.
