Scottish Ice Hockey are would like to congratulate the successful candidates that have been appointed to the board of IHUK.
Todd Kelman will be the representative from the Elite League, Duncan Hough from England Ice Hockey and Jamie Thomson from Scottish Ice Hockey.
IHUK CEO, Henry Staelens, said: “We’re thrilled to see Todd, Duncan and Jamie join the IHUK Board. This brings our recruitment drive to a close with nine new directors joining over the past 12 months.
It was clear to the IHUK Chair, existing Board members and myself that ice hockey here in the UK needs to be more collaborative and aligned to achieve even greater success, and these three appointments are critical to that vision.
“I am confident that our revamped 12-person Board will bring a greater sense of unity to the game here in the UK and that would be a huge step forward for all – players, staff, fans, volunteers and everyone that loves the game.”
Todd Kelman said: “I am looking forward to being part of the IHUK board and working together with the other organisations to help continue push ice hockey forward in the UK.
“There is a lot of expertise around the table and I am excited to be part of it as all the major stakeholders in the sport come together to help build a strong future.”
Duncan Hough said: “It’s an honour to be joining the Ice Hockey UK board at what is already a really exciting time for ice hockey in the UK.
“The foundations put in place by the IHUK team have helped shape real change already. To be asked to bring my expertise and formulate new ways of collaborating and progressing our wonderful sport even further is something I couldn’t say no to.”
Jamie Thomson said: “I am delighted to be joining the Ice Hockey UK board. Ice hockey has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
“Having held nearly every role associated with the sport, I feel my experience both within the sport and my professional career will be an asset to the already very strong group as we look to drive the sport forward in the UK over the coming years.”
