Dear all,
In December 2025, our collective members approved in principle the unification of our three governing bodies. This was a significant step by you, our members, to help ensure that we can all move forward, together as one.
Since then, we and our Boards of Directors have been discussing the terms of our merger. We are delighted to say that we expect to sign legal documentation very shortly which will result in a single merged governing body for ice hockey in the UK.
When we asked for your support last year, we made a commitment to you in the Special Resolution which you voted in favour of, that we would circulate both the updated Articles of Association, as well as an explanatory note to all members, outlining the purpose and effect of the changes we are making to the Articles of Association of both England Ice Hockey and Scottish Ice Hockey.
You can find a link to these below and we have also taken the opportunity to outline the same details regarding the Articles of Association of Ice Hockey UK.

Articles of Association Explanatory Note
By their nature, Articles of Association are very dry legal documents. However, the trust you put in us and our Boards of Directors to make these changes has created what we believe is the strongest platform our sport has ever had in the UK.
Next time you hear from us, it will be to confirm that we are finally merged and able to move forward, together as one. That merger will become effective on 30 June 2026 – which we believe will be a significant date in the history of our sport in the UK.
Thank you for your trust and ongoing support.
