New Season Fixtures Announced

The countdown is on! The new Scottish ice hockey season will begin on 5 September, with the same nine teams returning to compete for league, cup and playoff glory.

Supporters can look forward to another action-packed campaign, culminating in the traditional playoff knockout format and Playoff Weekend.

Playoff Format: 1 v 8

Once the regular season concludes:

  • The team finishing ninth will not qualify for the playoffs.
  • The top eight teams will compete in the following matchups: 1st v 8th, 2nd v 7th, 3rd v 6th and 4th v 5th.
  • The four winners will advance to Playoff Weekend.

Scottish Cup Qualifier

As last season’s bottom two league teams, North Ayrshire Wild and Kilmarnock Thunder will compete for the final place in this season’s Scottish Cup.

Their first two league meetings will also form a home-and-away qualifying tie. The team leading on aggregate after both games will become the eighth side in the Scottish Cup.

Scottish Cup Quarter-Final Draw

  • North Ayrshire Wild/Kilmarnock Thunder v Dundee Rockets
  • Kirkcaldy Kestrels v Aberdeen Lynx
  • Solway Sharks v Edinburgh Capitals
  • Whitley Warriors v Paisley Pirates

The winners of the first two quarter-finals will meet in the first semi-final, while the winners of the other two ties will contest the second semi-final.
