NEWS: Cowan parts ways with Wild

North Ayrshire Wild have announced the resignation of player/coach Scott Cowan.

Cowan leaves the club after four years in charge, with the club bottom of the SNL table after seven games, picking up one win so far.

A statement on the Wild’s Facebook page said: “This morning Scott Cowan has made the difficult decision to officially resign from the position of Head Coach and player of our North Ayrshire Wild SNL team.

“We are sure that this has not been an easy decision for Scott to come to but everyone at North Ayrshire Ice Hockey Club would like to convey their thanks to Scott for everything that he has done for the club.

“The passion and dedication that he brought to the ice has never been in question and we all wish him the very best of luck for whatever comes next for him in the future.”

Wild’s next game sees them begin their Scottish Cup campaign at home to Dundee Comets on Saturday.
