The recreation section’s Quaich Tournament took place last weekend in Dumfries, with 10 teams from across Scotland competing. After a series of hard-fought pool games, The Mariners (Pool A) faced off against Moray Tornadoes (Pool B) in one semifinal, with the Tornadoes taking a 7-2 win.

In the other semifinal, The Hawks (Pool B) shut out Kilmarnock Piranhas (Pool A) 4-0 to advance to the final.
The championship game was a thriller, with The Hawks eventually emerging victorious over the Tornadoes by a 3-1 score to claim the Quaich Tournament title.
Individual awards were handed out as follows:
- Top Points Scorer: Sean Brown, Kilmarnock Piranhas
- Top Goaltender: Iain Patterson, Aberdeen Predators
- Top Forward: Sean Brown, Kilmarnock Piranhas
- Top Defenseman: Euan Maxwell, Kilmarnock Piranhas
- Fair Play Award: Dundee Wildcats
