Two more back in the fold as Kestrels look towards next season

Kirkcaldy Kestrels have confirmed two more returnees to their roster as they continue their preparations for the upcoming season.

Forward Ryan Todd and ‘D’ man Gregor Smith have both agreed another year with the club and are eager to help them climb the standings.

The Kestrels finished the 2019/20 campaign strongly, with three successive victories moving them up to sixth in the table.

The team had been hoping to make their mark in the Scottish National League play-offs, but the early curtailment of the season scuppered their hopes.

Despite that disappointment, both Todd and Smith believe the Kestrels can continue their good form when the new season gets underway.

“After a tough season with injuries I had a hard decision to make whether to continue playing or not,” said Todd.

“The season ending when it did it gave me plenty time to recover and the way the roster is coming together made my decision to continue a lot easier.”

Smith added: “I’m looking forward to getting back on the ice after an extended break. Hopefully we can build on our strengths from last year and improve for this coming season.”
