UK ice hockey organisations issue joint statement on abuse

Ice Hockey UK, Scottish Ice Hockey, the English Ice Hockey and the Elite League have joined forces to make it clear any abuse of officials, players and staff will not be tolerated.

In recent months, there have been cases of abuse across various sections of the sport in the UK, which is totally unacceptable.

Whether in an ice rink or online via social media, any cases of abuse will be taken very seriously.

Individual clubs have the power to ban offenders from the rink, and cases can be reported to the police.

Our officials, players and staff are the lifeblood of our sport, and the governing bodies and leagues in the UK are united in stamping out all forms of abuse.
