Goalies and coaches take part in development session at Auchenharvie

The Scottish National Development Programme successfully staged an informative coaching session for the country’s netminders at Auchenharvie Leisure Centre yesterday.

The session was run by Colin Grubb Goaltending and provided valuable coaching to the attending goalies. It also helped coaches who wanted to learn more about coaching goaltenders.

Coaches were educated on how to teach the fundamentals of netminding, which was then put into practice with a two-hour goalie session the coaches put together.

Grubb is the current USA Hockey Rocky Mountain Division Goalie Coach in Chief and owner of CGGoaltending.

He has also recently been hired as the goalie coach for the Odessa Jackalopes in the North American Hockey League (NAHL).

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Colin for his continued support of player development in Scotland.

Thanks also to the other coaches who attended and all of the goalies.
