Great Britain have had a tough 24 hours at the World Championships in Latvia, with the team suffering defeats against Sweden and Czech Republic.
Liam Kirk bagged GB’s goal in a 4-1 loss against Sweden, while Matthew Myers scored against Czech Republic in a 6-1 defeat.
The results leave GB on four points with one game remaining against Switzerland on Tuesday (10.15 am UK time).
GB co-coach, Corey Neilson, said: “I think the Czechs played fantastic. They were flying around, moving their feet, and they are a great team.
“We didn’t seem to have that extra jump to be able to create a whole lot up the ice.
“Let’s be honest, we played against the fourth-best team in the world yesterday and then very little rest before facing another top-ranked team today.
“But our players – as they do at all times – battled as hard as they could and I think, at times, we did some good things.”
