Great Britain U16 announce roster for Latvia tournament

Great Britain U16 head coach Mike Clancy has named his roster for the tournament in Latvia during April.

The international competition consists of teams from Belarus, Finland, Latvia, Russia, Sweden and Ukraine and runs from 17-19th April.

The GB youngsters met at iceSheffield last week for the final selection camp.

Clancy said: “It was fantastic to see so much competition for places at the camp last week.

“The coaching staff had a tough job narrowing the team down to 22, but that is a great position for us to be in.

“There is some fantastic young talent in this GB programme and that bodes well for the future.

“This will be a brilliant experience for these youngsters and, as I have said before, it will prepare them going forward to hopefully represent GB at a World Championship in the future.”
