Innovative Canadian coach lined up for latest SIH webinar

Scottish Ice Hockey’s National Coaching Team have confirmed that Wes Wolfe will deliver a coaching webinar Tuesday, 20th April (8.00 pm).

Entitled ‘Puck Acquisition – Role of Body Position and Puck Protection’, the session is open to all SIH coaches, SNL and U18 players.

Wolfe was recently named as the head coach of Cobourg Cougars in the OJHL, having served as an assistant coach for the OHL’s Erie Otters for the previous five years.

He specialises in skills development for offensive zone play, powerplay and analytics.

SIH coach, Barrie Carnegie, said: “This is a critical webinar for all coaches in Scotland.

“This area is a much talked about topic at NHL level, so this is a great opportunity to improve our knowledge and expertise at teaching these very important skills.

“Wes is a coach who has operated in a very successful program that has developed some of the best players in the world.
