Kirkcaldy Kestrels have added two more returnees to their roster, with ‘D’ men Steven MacDonald and Ethan Meldrum agreeing another year with the club.
McDonald enjoyed a productive campaign in 2019/20, bagging five goals and six assists in 17 appearances for the club.
He returned to the Kestrels last summer after a few years off the ice and says he is looking forward to being part of the team against next term.
“I’m really happy to be back at the Kestrels again next season,” he said.
“I’d been out of the game for a few years and was asked to play ‘D’ for the first time, but felt I adjusted really well to the new position.
“I was disappointed how the season ended, but I’ll be looking to kick on under the new coaching set-up and help the team challenge for silverware.”
Meldrum will return for his second season with Kestrels having previously been part of Fife Falcons’ success at U20 level over the past few years.
The 19-year-old made 13 appearances for the team last season and is eager to continue his development next time around.
“I’m looking forward to getting back on the ice and building from last season,” he said. “Weve got a good group of guys and I’m hopeful we’ll be able to challenge for some silverware this season.”
