Murrayfield U16 off the mark in style against Fife Flames

Murrayfield U16 picked up their first points of the season with an excellent 2-0 victory at Fife Flames over the weekend.

Jack Adams and Finn Hall grabbed the goals for Murrayfield, while netminder Callum Saunders and Cameron Robertson both recorded shut-outs playing half the game each.

The club’s U14 side were out of luck at Lanarkshire Lightning as the home team retained their 100% record with a stylish 5-2 success – Jack Adams and Lewis Stewart were on target for the Edinburgh-based outfit.

Murrayfield’s U10s were also in action as they travelled to Fife Ice Arena to compete in a cross-ice tournament.

Teams from Kirkcaldy, Dundee, Kilmarnock and Inverness were joined by Murrayfield in an event that should prove invaluable to the development of all the players who took part.

Murrayfield coach, Steven Francey, said: “Quite simply it was a really good cross-ice with good spirit within the entire squad. The passing was also fantastic throughout the team.”
