A Full Weekend of Ice Hockey Action – What to Expect
Saturday, April 26th – Junior Semi-Finals & SNL Championship
The excitement begins on Saturday, where the best young talents in Scottish ice hockey will battle it out in the semi-finals and bronze medal games for the U12s, U14s, and U16s. These games will set the stage for the U12s Final, where one team will be crowned Scottish Cup champions.
To close the day with a bang, all eyes will be on the Scottish National League (SNL) Final, where the Dundee Rockets go head-to-head with the Kirkcaldy Kestrels in a high-stakes showdown for the Senior Scottish Cup title. Expect fast-paced action, hard hits, and outstanding displays of skill and teamwork as these two teams battle for supremacy on Scottish ice.
Sunday, April 27th – Junior Finals & Recreational Knockout Cup Showdown
The action continues into Sunday, where the focus shifts to the Junior Finals. The U14s, U16s, and U19s will take center stage, competing in their respective championship games as they strive to claim the coveted Scottish Cup in their age groups.
But that’s not all—Sunday also marks the final chapter in the Scottish Ice Hockey Recreational Knockout Cup.
This competition began back in October 2024, with 32 teams competing in a knockout-style format, with a draw taking place each month to determine the matchups for the next round. Now, after months of intense competition, the tournament has reached its final stages. The semi-finals, taking place this weekend, will see Dundee Michelin face Edinburgh Lions, while Moray Tornadoes take on the Highlanders. The winners of these matchups will progress to the Recreational Knockout Cup Final on Sunday, April 27th, where one team will lift the trophy and claim the title.
