Scottish Ice Hockey is pleased to announce that it has set up a fund to support its clubs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Applications to the new grant scheme can be made by any SIH member club or a combination of member clubs.
The purpose of the fund, which has been capped at £10,000, is to help with engagement in our sport during the current climate and is designed keep players involved in ice hockey.
Clubs are required to demonstrate a developmental side to their application and show that the grant will benefit players from an activity that wouldn’t normally have happened.
SIH Chairman, David Hand, said: “We’re delighted to be able to launch this scheme, which we believe will help our clubs keep their players engaged with the sport during these difficult times.
“A grant committee has been appointed to assess the merits of all applications and they will also oversee the distribution of the fund to succeessful clubs.”
Further information about the fund and how to apply can be found by clicking the image below. Please email applications to: email@example.com.
The closing date is Monday, July 20th. The grant committee will assess all the applications in one batch with a view to informing clubs of their decision by the end of that month.
