SIH Recreational Season Concludes with Cup Victory for Edinburgh Lions

Scottish Ice Hockey’s 2024/25 recreational season came to an exciting close this past weekend with the final event in the recreational calendar — the SIH Recreational Cup — held at Dundee Ice Arena.

The Edinburgh Lions were crowned champions on Sunday 25th May after a 3-1 win over the Paisley Blackhawks. It marks a successful few weeks for the Lions, who also lifted the SIH Recreational Knockout Cup earlier this season — securing a double triumph for the capital side.

This year’s recreational competitions have showcased the growing passion, participation, and standard of hockey within the non-checking community. Across four separate tournaments, teams from all over Scotland competed for silverware in fun, spirited, and highly competitive fixtures.
