Dundee Tigers host Dundee Comets on Sunday aiming to strengthen their grip on third place in the Scottish National League (SNL).
The Tigers have exceeded expectations this term and are well on course to secure a strong seeding for the end-of-season play-offs.
The two sides met in the league a fortnight ago, with Sean Dyer, Ben MacFarlane, Ross McIntosh and Jack Henderson on target as the Tigers ran out 4-3 winners.
The Comets are also in action the previous day as they welcome Kirkcaldy Kestrels to Dundee Ice Arena.
Kirkcaldy claimed a 5-4 overtime victory in the reverse fixture and another tight contest could be on the cards this weekend.
Second-placed Murrayfield Racers are in action twice over the weekend, visiting North Ayrshire Wild on Saturday before travelling to Kirkcaldy the following day.
Two victories would put the Racers just three points behind table-topping Solway Sharks, but the Dumfries outfit remain big favourites to win the title.
Aberdeen Lynx will bid to snap a three-game losing streak in the league when they visit Kilmarnock Thunder on Saturday.
Lynx produced a much-improved performance against the Comets in the Scottish Cup last weekend and will be eager to continue in the same vein at Kilmarnock.
North Ayrshire follow up their home match against the Racers with a visit to Braehead Arena to face Paisley Pirates on Sunday.
Wild are currently fifth in the standings, three points behind the Pirates with three games in hand.
