North Ayrshire Wild hit the ice on Saturday aiming to put a frustrating start to the Scottish National League season behind them.
Wild head into their home game against Kilmarnock Thunder with just one win under the belts and will be keen to improve that record this weekend.
The North Ayrshire outfit started the season with a narrow defeat at home to Dundee Tigers, before bouncing back to win a seven-goal thriller against Belfast SNL Giants.
Subsequent defeats against Kirkcaldy Kestrels and Paisley Pirates have left Wild fifth in the table and they need a win to get back on track.
Thunder started the season with heavy defeats against the Tigers and Aberdeen Lynx, before producing a much-improved performance against Kirkcaldy last weekend.
They raced into a 4-1 lead early in the game, but the Kestrels eventually fought back to secure a hard-fought 8-6 victory.
The Tigers return to action after a three-week break with a difficult looking trip to Paisley.
The Dundee side kicked off the campaign with a pair of wins but they were beaten 7-5 by Aberdeen in their most recent outing.
Paisley slipped to a heavy defeat against Belfast in their opening game, before bouncing back to win 3-2 at North Ayrshire last weekend.
Elsewhere, Dundee Comets are still awaiting confirmation of the dates for their NIHL Moralee Cup semi-final against Solihull Barons.
The other semi-final between Solway Sharks and Widnes Wild will be played over two legs this weekend.
