North Ayrshire Wild host Dundee Comets on Saturday aiming to make it two wins out of three in the Scottish National League (SNL).
Wild were beaten by Solway Sharks in their opening league game, but followed up with a comprehensive victory at Kilmarnock Thunder in their second outing.
The Comets have also been defeated by the Sharks in the league this term and will be eager to get their campaign up and running with a win this weekend.
Saturday’s other SNL fixture sees Paisley Pirates take on Aberdeen Lynx at Braehead Ice Arena. Paisley won 6-3 at Kirkcaldy Kestrels last weekend, while Aberdeen triumphed 4-3 after a penalty shoot-out at Dundee Tigers.
The Tigers and Kestrels will bid to put those defeats behind them when they go head-to-head at Dundee Ice Arena the following day.
The two sides met on the opening weekend of the season in the Stuart Robertson Cup (SRC), with the Tigers recording a hard fought 5-4 victory.
Murrayfield Racers continue their defence of the SRC on Sunday as they welcome Paisley to Murrayfield Ice Rink.
The Racers have won all four matches in this season’s competition and a victory this weekend would make them favourites to secure top spot in the southern group.
Sunday’s remaining game is in the NIHL North Cup as Solway travel to Hillheads to face Whitley Warriors.
The Sharks won the reverse fixture 4-2 and have gone on to secure victories in their three subsequent matches in the cross-border competition.
